What this is and how to use it

Your birth date holds nine energies:
the numbers 1 to 9.

  • What comes naturally.
  • What sits at your centre.
  • What you grow through life.

Each number has a high side and a low side.
None is good or bad.

Where does it come from?

The method rests on three old Chinese ideas:

He TuThe “River Map”, a diagram of dots that pairs the numbers with the five elements: 1 and 6 Water, 2 and 7 Fire, 3 and 8 Wood, 4 and 9 Metal, 5 Earth at the centre.

Lo ShuThe “Luo River Square”, the 3×3 magic square of 1–9 where every line adds to 15 and 5 sits in the middle. It is the root of feng shui and of reading numbers as energies.

Yin Yang & Wu XingOdd numbers are Yang (active, outgoing), even numbers are Yin (receptive, inward). The five elements feed and balance one another.

The birth date pyramid itself is a modern way of combining these ideas. It is popular in Chinese-speaking countries, where it is called the “life code”.

What does it tell you?

StrengthsThe numbers you have show the energies that come naturally to you.

CoreThe number at the bottom is your central theme: the energy you are here to live.

PositionsWhere a number sits shows how it shows up: in your character, emotions, background or social role.

Growth areasMissing numbers point to energies you learn through life and through other people.

RelationshipsComparing numbers shows where people complete each other and where friction can come from.

How to use it
  1. Enter a birth date. The pyramid appears at once.

How to read the pyramid

The top row holds the four starting numbers: day, month, century and year.

The second row combines them: left, your inner, personal self; right, your outer, social self.

The core at the bottom combines everything: the energy at your centre.

The ring colour shows each number’s element.

Position names Our own labels, to make the positions easy to remember. The tradition uses day, month, year and the rows.

Two halvesThe left half is your private world. The right half is how you live among others.

Name Code

Each letter carries one of the nine energies (A = 1 … I = 9, then J = 1 again), so a name reads in the same language as the birth date.

Uses the birth name from step 1.

Accents are read as the plain letter (ü = u, é = e).

Your life manual at a glance

Everything you have discovered comes together in nine areas that shape a life. Each square sums up one part of your reading; tap it to go back to the detail.

About the nine areas

The grid follows the 3×3 layout of the Lo Shu square. The top row is what you were given: your numbers, your time and your location. The middle row is who you are: your name, your self and the people around you. The bottom row is what you build: learning, merit (the good you do) and your environment.

It echoes a traditional Chinese view that a life is shaped by destiny, the cycles of the years, feng shui, name, good deeds, study and helpful people, and that the last ones are in your own hands.

GUIDE

The nine numbers at a glance

Famous people are grouped by the core number calculated from their publicly listed birth date (no birth time, so the 23:00 rule is not applied). Superheroes have no birth date; they illustrate each number’s archetype. Organ and emotion links come from traditional five-element theory and are offered for reflection, not as medical advice.

Follows the Chinese life code: the birth-date pyramid and its nine-year cycle (from 1 October), with the He Tu and Lo Shu diagrams, Yin Yang and the five elements (Wu Xing). Name code: Pythagorean letter values. Premium+: Lo Shu grid, Eight Mansions feng shui (Kua number), BaZi year pillar (solar year from 4 February).
